ABOUT THE JOB
Our Safeguarding and Intervention service has a robust and supportive management structure made up of Service Managers and Team Managers across a service of an average of four teams. This service works with children in need, children with child protection plans and those who require care and legal pathways.. It benefits from a dedicated Court Case Manager, the support of Family Therapists who work alongside others to embed the practice model and Business Support
As a member of a Safeguarding and Intervention team, you will work with up to five other social workers and receive support and supervision from a Team Manager. Newham presents all of the challenges you would expect from an inner London borough with a large young population; and you will be given the tools to practice safely and effectively with children and their families. We have invested in smarter modern technology and are reducing caseloads to enable you to spend more time doing direct work.
You will be expected to be an embodiment of the 'Newham Together' practice framework and will work collaboratively with colleagues and other services, sharing our commitment to relational practice and achieving positive outcomes for our children and young people.
